Blountstown Police Department

The City of Blountstown Police Department Patrol Division is comprised of 6 full time patrol officers. These officers are broken up into 2 squads and work a rotating 12 hour shift to provide quality law enforcement 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Each squad is comprised of a supervisor and 2 officers, and assisted by K9 Berri a single purpose narcotics detection K9. The patrol divison is over seen by Capt. Adam Terry. 

The communications center for the Blountstown Police Department is comprised of 7 dispatchers to provide around the clock communication services for the officers. The communication center is responsible for dispatching the Police Department, the Blountstown Fire Department, and the City of Blountstown Public Works Department after hours. 

The CID divison of the Blountstown Police Department is comprised of 2 full time investigators. The investigators rotate oncall each week to assist patrol in daily functions along with callouts for major crimes.

The Blountstown Police Department partnered with Calhoun County School Board to provide a fulltime School Resource Officer to Blountstown Elementary and Blountstown Middle School.
